Cargill Foods Turkey Orhangazi Corn Processing Plant granter first Seat in the “Energy Efficient Industrial Facility Competition”

The project competition on Energy Efficiency in Industry (SENVER – 9) organized by the Electrical Power Resources Survey and Development Administration in 2008 has been competed.

Cargill Foods Turkey was granted the first prize in the Energy Efficient Industrial Facility (EVET) class. Orhangazi Corn Processing Plant of the Cargill Foods Turkey came first among competing 17 industrial businesses and has been selected as the Energy Efficient Industrial Facility (EVET).

Total of 35 projects from 14 industrial businesses in the Increasing Energy Efficiency in Industry Projects (SEVAP) class, 17 industrial businesses in the Energy Efficient Industrial Facility (EVET) class, and 2 industrial businesses in the Energy Efficient Product (EVÜ), which had applied, were evaluated in the competition.

The projects titled “Electrical Power Generation Using Bio-Gas” and “Heat Recovery by Closed Cycle Hot Water Circuit” prepared by employees of the Bursa Orhangazi Plant has brought the first prize to Bursa Orhangazi Corn Processing Plant in the Energy Efficient Industrial Facility (EVET) class in 2008.

The prizes were awarded to industrial businesses winning in the competition at a ceremony held at the 1^st National Energy Symposium in Istanbul on January 15^th, 2009.
